VILLAGE OF ARLINGTON BOARD OF TRUSTEES BUDGET HEARING & BUDGET SUMMARY SEPTEMBER 18, 2023 6:30PM The Budget Hearing and Budget Summary of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Arlington, Nebraska, was held at the Arlington Village Hall, 245 N 2nd Street, Arlington on September 18, 2023. Board Chairman Paul Krause called the hearing to order at 6:30 PM. Roll call was taken as follows: Travis Kraemer, present; Scott Pokorny, present; Jeremy Hansen, Present; Jason Wiese, present; Paul Krause, present. Notice of the hearing was given in advance by publication in the Arlington Citizen, a designated method for giving notice as shown by the Affidavit of Publication attached to these minutes. Notice of the meeting was given in advance by publication on the Village of Arlington Website and was posted at the Village Hall, Post Office, and RVR Bank. Notice of this hearing was given to the Village Board members and a copy of their acknowledgment of receipt of notice and the agenda is attached to the minutes. Availability of the agenda was communicated in the advance notice and in the notice to the Board of Trustees of this hearing. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened hearing was open to the attendance of the public. Chairman Krause noted the posting of the Open Meetings Act as posted on the wall by the entrance of the Conference Room. Paul Krause stated the purpose of the hearing was to review the annual proposed budget for fiscal year 2023-24. Village CPA, Ric Ortmeier reviewed the budget summary. Total budgeted expenditures for fiscal year 2023-24 are $4,967,346.50, which include a budgeted $3,000,000 street improvement project. Following discussion, Paul Krause asked if there were any questions or comments from the public. There were none. Scott Pokorny moved for adjournment from the Budget Hearing and Budget Summary.
