The Arlington girls basketball team improved to 12-2 Tuesday, topping Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 47-31.
The Eagles doubled-up the Raiders during the first quarter, 12-6, and led by 15 points going into the fourth period.
Coach Tashia Wolf said “breaking down their defense with quick ball movement and getting it into the post” was key to the victory. She also noted Emme Timm's pull-up jumpers and a strong third period during Tuesday's win.
Timm, a sophomore guard, finished with a team-high 14 points, while senior Taylor Arp scored nine. Macy Wolf added eight points and Britt Nielsen had seven as Austyn Flesner and Valeria Carvajal combined for nine.
AHS was to face Syracuse on Thursday and next competes 6 p.m. Monday during the first round of the Nebraska Capitol Conference Tournament. The second-seeded Eagles host and play Louisville to start.
