Carolyn A. Herrmann, 80 years of Arlington, Neb., passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Fremont, Neb. She was born on May 9, 1943, in Hooper, Neb., to Harvey and Wilma (Panning) Stork.
Carolyn graduated from Arlington High School in 1961. She continued her education at Immanuel Nursing School in Omaha, receiving her degree in nursing. Carolyn married David Herrmann on April 16, 1966, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. She worked at Springfield Memorial Hospital and Fremont Area Medical Center.
Carolyn was a strong and faithful person. When she wasn’t blessing people with her nursing skills, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, and was a big Husker volleyball fan. She enjoyed music by Manheim Steamroller at Christmas time. She enjoyed attending activities of her children and grandchildren, also playing many card games with family and friends. Carolyn was known for cooking delicious meals and desserts for family and friends and celebrating many holidays.
She is survived by her husband, David; son, Scott (Laralee) Herrmann of Columbus, Neb.; daughter, Kristen (Philip) Krienert of West Point, Neb.; brother, Lee Stork (Diane Gibb) of Arlington; six grandchildren, Gabrielle, Mason, Conrad, Wyatt, Quinn, and Shaylee; two great-grandchildren, Raelara, Alaric and one more on the way; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister, Donna Mae.
Memorial Service is 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. with a Nebraska Nurse Honor Guard Service at 6 p.m. all at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington.
Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Arlington.
