Brent Lee McCormick, 54, of Arlington, Neb., passed away on May 6 at his home. In March 2023, he was diagnosed with lung cancer that quickly spread to his brain and bones.
Brent was born in Blair, Neb., on June 12, 1968, to Dennis and Ruth Ann McCormick. He attended K - 12 at Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1986 with honors.
He was a great friend to many. Even thou he got on some people’s nerves he was still someone who was taken home to soon. He will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched.
Brent spent most of his adult life racing anything fast. He loved his motorcycles, go-carts, barstools, lawn mowers and boats.
He worked as a pipe fitter for Local 798 out of Tulsa, Okla. His job assignments took him to several states throughout the U.S.
Brent is survived by his parents Dennis and Ruth Ann McCormick, his brother Dean (Tracy) McCormick, special friend Leslie Jackson-Schlecht, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other assorted family and many caring friends.
Brent is preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents, two brothers and two sisters.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, May 11, from 6–8 p.m. Memorial services will be held Friday, May 12, 2 p.m. Both visitation and memorial service will be held at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Burial will follow the memorial service at the Arlington Cemetery.
The family would like to invite you to a “Celebration of Life” at the VFW in Arlington starting at 5 p.m. on May 12.
