Arlyce Olsen, 83


Arlyce M. (Fuchs) Olsen, 83 of Fremont, Neb., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at Heritage at Shalimar Gardens in Fremont. She was born March 27, 1940, in Fremont to Oswald and Leona (Hagerbaumer) Fuchs.

Arlyce grew up in Arlington and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School and graduated from Arlington High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Dana College in Blair. Later she received her Master’s degree in education. In 1961, she married Milan Nore, they lived in Lincoln, Scotts Bluffs and Omaha. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was a teacher in the Millard School district until retiring in 1999. She married Charles Olsen in 1994. They moved to Missouri Valley, Iowa, in 1997. He preceded her in death in December of 2022. She then came to Fremont.

Arlyce was member of King of Kings Church in Omaha and former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. She was a huge Husker fan up until the end.

She is survived by her son James “JC” (Jill) Nore of Bend, Oregon; brothers, Robert (Cheryl) Fuchs of Arlington, and Roger (Jean) Fuchs of Portland, Oregon; four grandchildren, Alena, Tate, Harrison and Emerson Nore.

Preceded in death by her parents; both husbands and brother, Gene Fuchs.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Friday Dec. 8, 2023 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Arlington, Neb. Pastors Rick Kanoy and Jason Duley will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Arlington, Neb.
