Arlington track and field won 10 events indoors Tuesday during a five-team meet at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha.
The Eagles finished third in both the boys and girls standings, while the Platteview Trojans swept the team titles and Wahoo earned two runner-up results.
Junior Hailey O'Daniel led the way for AHS, winning a pair of individual events. She earned top honors in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:27.41, while also clearing a meet-best 16 feet, 2.5 inches in the long jump.
The Eagles' Taylor Arp (shot put), Whitney Wollberg (pole vault), Austyn Flesner (60 hurdles), Kaden Foust (long jump) and Nolan May (800 run) also won individual events in Omaha. Three of their squad's relay teams — the boys' 1,600 and 3,200, and the girls' 1,600 — won, too. Dallin Franzluebbers, Trent Koger, May, Foust, Kevin Flesner, Trey Hill, Kelise Krivohlavek, Macy Wolf, Wollberg and O'Daniel were all apart of the gold-medal efforts.
Coach Kyle Buckingham's Arlington team next competes 2 p.m. Tuesday at West Point-Beemer. The meet will the Eagles' first outdoors this spring.
