NSAA XC Championships begin today at noon

Arlington, Blair and Fort Calhoun runners will compete

The NSAA Cross-Country Championships begin noon today at Kearney Country Club.
The Blair High School girls will compete at noon in a Class B race covering 5-kilometers. The Fort Calhoun girls and Arlington's Hailey O'Daniel will then run at 3 p.m. before the Pioneer and Eagle boys compete at 4.
Altogether, 25 Washington County runners are set to participate in the championship meet.

Fort Calhoun Pioneers
State qualifiers: Will Dennis, Travis Skelton, Chris Post-Whiteowl, Seth Waters, Lawson Tjardes, Gage Nixon, Raeann Massey, Maelie Nelson, Harley Schwarte, Emily Barta, Bella McLaughlin and Brady Work.
Returning state medalist: Nelson (11th in 2022)
Coaches: Kyle McMahon, Rebecca McMahon and Jim Meyer

Arlington Eagles
State qualifiers: Hailey O'Daniel, Nolan May, Kolby Tighe, Kevin Flesner, John Morrison, Trey Hill and Dallin Franzluebbers.
Returning state medalists: May (eighth in 2021) and O'Daniel (seventh in 2022, eighth in 2021)

Blair Bears
State qualifiers: Reece Ewoldt, Allie Czapla, Jade Wickwire, Ryen Anderson, Nadia Davey and Ryleigh Schroeter.
