The Arlington Senior Legion baseball team opened its season with a road victory Monday.
The Post 71 Eagles topped Pender, 7-2, while the Junior Legion team lost 14-3.
Right-handed pitcher Blaine Vogt led the Seniors on the mound, throwing 6 1/3 innings for the win. Andy Misfeldt closed out the game, too.
Offensively, Arlington's Tyler Ott and Andy Misfeldt doubled, coach TJ Stosich said.
Post 71 was scheduled to host West Point on Wednesday before storms soaked the Washington County Fairgrounds on Tuesday. The Senior Legion team next plays 7:30 p.m. today at Fort Calhoun.

Tuesday's storms cancel games
Legion baseball teams from Blair and Fort Calhoun were scheduled to play games Tuesday before wet weather thwarted those plans.
The Post 154 Bears' games at Omaha Concordia were called off as were the Zig Drywall Pioneers' home games with Schuyler/North Bend. The Senior Legion teams were both set to compete again Wednesday with weekend games ahead.
After Thursday's game against Omaha Northwest, the Blair Seniors will host Ralston at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Fort Calhoun Seniors, meanwhile, host Arlington today at 7:30 p.m. before Saturday games at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
