Blair beats Omaha Benson
The Blair High School volleyball team picked up its 10th win of the season Thursday.
The Bears hosted and bested the Omaha Benson Bunnies by sweep, 3-0. The victory was just their second on their home floor this fall.
BHS earned the first set 25-16 on a Benson net violation before Allorah Solano's serve went unreturned to cap the 25-15 second. Schuyler Roewert then scored match point with an ace of her own, completing a third-set comeback — 25-22.
Blair's final regular season home match is today against Nebraska City. It starts at 7 p.m. before coach Becca Mellema's team travels to Lincoln Northwest on Thursday.

Syracuse tops FCHS
Syracuse beat the Fort Calhoun volleyball team 3-0 Thursday during the squads' Nebraska Capitol Conference Tournament consolation match.
The Rockets won the home sets 25-13, 25-10 and 25-18.
“We came together and played as a team better than we did earlier this week,” Pioneers coach Liz Sevcik said, referencing her team's loss to Yutan. “We served well tonight.”
FCHS next plays its Parent's Night match 7 p.m. today against Conestoga.

AHS falls at Louisville
The Arlington volleyball team lost its NCC consolation match at Louisville, 3-0.
The Lions won 25-15, 25-12 and 25-15 Thursday night.
“Lots of hustle and long rallies,” Eagles coach Stacy Nelson said.
She added that senior Emma Misfeldt passed and served well, while Peyton Timm excelled, too.
“(Timm's) solid, all-around play has been so key,” the coach said.
AHS next plays its regular season finale 7 p.m. today at Syracuse.
