High school athletes recognized as academic honorees

NCPA all-state awards announced

The NSAA recently announced the fall sports season's Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association (NCPA) Academic All-State Awards recipients.
Several Washington County student-athletes were nominated by their schools and honored for “individual academic excellence, leadership and significant contributions in their NSAA activity,” according to a release.
Arlington High School's recipients participated in cross-country, football, golf, softball and volleyball. They are Kevin Flesner, Nolan May, Brooke Hilgenkamp, Hailey O'Daniel, Kaden Foust, Tyler Ott, Sarah Rhea, Aspen Smutz, Britt Nielsen, Lydia Schaapveld, Austyn Flesner and Callee Shearer.
Blair High School honorees participated in the same five activities this past fall. They are Caleb Funk, Zeke Prochaska, Lainey Bilau, Reece Ewoldt, Thomas Chikos, Crayton Macholan, Wrylee Osterhaus, Carrie Truhlsen, Claire Mann, Kalli Ulven, Taylor Mostek and Peyton Ogle.
Fort Calhoun's recipients excelled in cross-country, football, softball and volleyball, but also play production. They are Lawson Tjardes, Seth Waters, Maelie Nelson, Harley Schwarte, Grayson Bouwman, Declyn Otte, Brooke Johnson, Samantha Thomas, Addie Benoit, Anna Taylor, Bria Bench and Taylor Stewart.
NCPA Academic All State Awards are announced after each NSAA activities season — the fall, winter and spring.
