Grothe, Koger lead AHS boys past Tigers

Eagles boys basketball improves to 4-3

The Arlington boys basketball team scored 43 first-half points, besting Tekamah-Herman 63-36 after two at home.
The Eagles improved to 4-3 with the 27-point win, while the Tigers dropped to 2-4.
Coach Jake Polk's team led 18-13 after one period and 43-18 after a 25-point second. Kieryn Grothe scored 18 points overall for AHS, but notched 16 of them during the first half. He made two 3-pointers.
Trent Koger added 14 points for the Eagles, too. He scored 12 of them during the first half, including 10 in the second period alone.
Oliver Ladehoff and Jaxson Burns added nine points apiece for Arlington as well. Brody Rogers notched 16 for the visiting Tigers.
AHS next hosts Wisner-Pilger on Thursday. Its the Eagles final game before the Lincoln Lutheran Holiday tournament at the end of the month.
