Eagles drop OT basketball game, 43-35

Sophomore Emme Timm forced overtime with a clutch fourth-period 3-pointer, but the Arlington Eagles' streak of nine-straight wins still came to an end Saturday at Fremont Bergan.
The Knights outscored coach Tashia Wolf's team in extra time, 8-0, winning 43-35. AHS dropped to 11-2 in defeat — its first loss since Dec. 5.
Down two starters after Britt Nielsen and Taylor Arp fouled out, the Eagles fell behind Bergan by three points late during the fourth period. Undeterred, Timm scored three of her game-high 18 points with 25 seconds left. The long-range shot evened the score at 35-all and led to overtime after Arlington held the Knights scoreless during their final possession of regulation.
Ultimately, though, Bergan improved to 8-4 with its fifth-straight win.
AHS, meanwhile, picked up win No. 11 on Friday, topping 6-5 Raymond Central on the road, 55-40. The Eagles built an 18-7 first quarter lead and held off the Mustangs from there.
Nielsen, a junior, led Arlington in victory with 14 points, while Macy Wolf scored 11. Timm and Hailey O'Daniel notched nine points apiece, too.
