Eagles basketball improves to 6-1

Led by Macy Wolf and Britt Nielsen, the Arlington girls basketball team beat Tekamah-Herman on Saturday, 57-37.
The Eagles (6-1 overall) led 15-6 after one quarter at home and scored 18 points during the second to win. Wolf scored a team-best 19 points with two 3-point makes, while Nielsen notched 17 points with eight buckets made from inside the arc.
Emme Timm added nine points for AHS coach Tashia Wolf, too. Valeria Carvajal led the Eagles bench with seven points.
Hailey O'Daniel scored a buzzer-beating 3-pointer for the home team as well.
Preslee Hansen, meanwhile, led the visiting Tigers with a game-best 20 points.
Arlington next competes today against Omaha Concordia.
