The Arlington girls wrestling team took second and the boys were eighth Saturday during the Dale Bonge Invite at Albion Boone Central.
Kelise Krivohlavek earned the Eagles' top finish, securing first at 125 pounds to lead her runner-up team, which was second to Schuyler. The 27-2 wrestler was 4-0 during the tournament, earning all four wins by pin. She stopped her finals opponent — Nyla Bolles of Wayne — in 2:46.
Braxton Soll, meanwhile, led coach Doug Hart's boys team. The 126-pounder was second, going 2-1 with a 16-5 major decision against Corey Fields of Kearney and a 6-3 decision against Pierce's Draydin Gossman.
AHS' Dianna Flores and Rylie Kyllo were second in their weight classes, too. Flores went 3-1 with three pins at 190 pounds, while Kyllo finished with a 2-1 tournament record at 110.
Carly Segebart added a third-place finish for the Eagles, while Tate Johannes, Brooklyn Ruskamp and Sofie Lewis were all fourth. Jake Flesner, Kolton Gilmore and Tanner Kyllo claimed podium spots, too, with top-six finishes.
Teams sweep Thursday duals
The Arlington wrestling teams also combined to go 3-0 in Thursday night duals at Wisner-Pilger.
The boys were 2-0 with a 48-33 victory against the host Gators and a 44-36 win against Pender. Soll, Brodie Wilkins, Karson Foust and Johannes all earned pins against Wisner before Wilkins, Gilmore, Haydn Hegemann and Soll pinned Pendragons. Stokely Lewis and Johannes earned major decisions during the eight-point win against Pender, too.
The AHS girls, meanwhile, won every contested matchup during their 66-0 dual against the Gators. Honora Andreasen, Kyllo, Lewis, Krivohlavek and Callee Shearer all earned pins with Kyllo's taking just 38 seconds at 115 pounds.
