The Arlington girls basketball team picked up its fifth win of the season Tuesday, upsetting Class C1 No. 7 Douglas County West on the road, 54-47.
After falling behind 17-8 through one period, coach Tashia Wolf's Eagles outscored the Falcons 42-25 during the second and third quarters.
“It was an awesome team win. So many people did some really great things,” the coach said. “We didn't play our best, but lots of players did great things.”
Macy Wolf and Britt Nielsen led AHS in scoring with 14 points apiece. Emme Timm added 12, while Taylor Arp and Austyn Flesner had eight and six points, respectively.
The Eagles are 5-1 overall this season, while DC West dropped to 3-1.

AHS boys drop to 3-3
The Arlington boys basketball team is 3-3 after Tuesday's road loss at Class C1 No. 6 Douglas County West.
The Falcons beat coach Jake Polk's team by 28 points, 71-43.
“Rough second quarter, but I think we got better in the second half,” the coach said. “Looking forward to a couple good days of practice.”
Oliver Ladehoff led the Eagles in defeat, scoring 13 of his team-best 15 points during the third and fourth periods. Trent Koger had 13 points, too, while Schuyler Logemann scored eight.
Nolan Asher led DC West with 17 points.
