Aaron Paul Von Behren, age 51, of Fontanelle, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha.

Born Oct. 6, 1972 to Dr. Paul and Linda Von Behren in Ames, Iowa.

He graduated from Fremont High School in 1991. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army Reserves and graduated with a four-year degree from Taylor University and also held a Master’s degree from UNO. He worked at both the Fremont and Omaha Police Departments for 17 years. Most recently, he was a private dog trainer, breeder and Youth Pastor for ASPIRE, an after-school program for high schoolers.

He married Amy Byrd of Arlington, Nebraska in 2004. They have three children and are members of the Fremont Evangelical Free Church in Fremont, Neb.

He is survived by his beloved wife Amy and three children; parents Paul and Linda of Fremont, Neb.; sister Leslie (Greg) Swartz of Fullerton, Neb.

Of all the passions and interests in his life, none compared to his love for his Savior. He loves Christ, and Christ loves him. (John 5:24)

All services will be held at Fremont Alliance Church, Fremont, Neb. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 2, from 5-8 p.m. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 3, at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements are through Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont.
