Another busy week down.
From it, three more deserving Nannen Physical Therapy Athletes of the Week — Tyson Brown, Emme Timm and Tacey Belina.
Tyson Brown, Blair wrestling: Yep, Tyson Brown again. The 138-pounder earned it, celebrating Senior Night with a victory and winning an Eastern Midlands Conference title. He beat the top-ranked wrestler in his weight class to win his division, by the way. Special mention goes to the entire BHS girls lineup, which one its second-straight conference tourney, too.
Emme Timm, Arlington basketball: It was a rough and tough loss to Yutan in the Nebraska Capitol Conference Tournament finals, but the Eagles’ point guard kept getting up. Altogether, she scored 39 points across three tourney games as AHS finished second. She had five rebounds and four steals against Fort Calhoun, too, and six assists and six steals against Louisville. Special mention to Kelise Krivohlavek, Braxton Soll, Rylie Kyllo and Dianna Flores who earned solid finishes at an Albion Boone Central wrestling tournament, too.
Tacey Belina, Fort Calhoun wrestling: In my eyes, the Pioneer had a breakout tournament on Friday at Raymond Central High School. She was 4-2 for fourth in her weight class with three pins. Special mention goes to basketball player Grayson Bouwman, who signed to Morningside University and had a strong NCC Tournament this past week as well.
Congrats to all mentioned in this week’s update. Come back to our website Wednesday evening to watch the Athlete of the Week video interview.
