I know for sure this has never happened.
For the first time, the Nannen Physical Therapy Athletes of the Week are all Washington County girls wrestlers. Madi Larrick, Kelise Krivohlavek and Riley Martin succeeded on the mat this weekend at a very high level.

Madi Larrick, Fort Calhoun wrestling: The 125-pounder secured three first-period pins to win her first high school home tournament. The Pioneer pinned her first opponent in just 45 seconds. Special mention goes to Gage Nixon, who also claimed first during the FCHS tournament.

Kelise Krivohlavek, Arlington wrestling: The Eagle 125-pounder won her North Bend Central Invite weight class with five wins. She had five pins, securing all five in 75 seconds or less. She just squeezed past NBC Invite champ Kolton Gilmore in my Athlete of the Week selection process with one more win. The senior deserves special recognition for his 4-0 day, too, but so does sophomore basketball player Emme Timm, who scores 27 points Friday at Nebraska City.

Riley Martin, Blair wrestling: The competition level is high at the Council Bluffs Classic and the Bears’ 100-pounder excelled against it, claiming fourth at the Mid-America Center. She was 4-2 overall. Special recognition goes to her BHS teammates who also secured top-10 finishes — Ali Wheeler, Tyson Brown, Blaise Baughman, Atticus Dick and Josie Tilson. Easton Bosanek deserves some kudos, too, for all of the 3-pointers he made this past week, including seven against Waverly.

Congrats to these standouts and keep your eyes here at enterprisepub.com/sports for more Athlete of the Week coverage.
