It’s time to recognize the fall season’s last Nannen Physical Therapy Athletes of the Week.
These three — Blaise Baughman, Macy Wolf and Reagan Wells — all competed this past week, but their efforts extend well before it.

Blaise Baughman, Blair football: The Bears’ first playoff victory in five years was certainly a team effort, but this sophomore contributed mightily in all three phases of the game. He scored a rushing touchdown, made a vital late-game sack with teammate AJ Damme and knocked through three extra-point kicks as BHS topped Plattsmouth, 21-14. Special mention goes to volleyball seniors Savanah Roan — who had 50 digs during the Bears’ subdistrict tourney wins — and Peyton Ogle who closed out their careers Saturday.

Macy Wolf, Arlington volleyball: This sophomore finished her season last Monday as the team leader in kills (110) and aces (25), and was second in blocks (22). Special mention to Kaylie Herman, though, who led the Eagles with six kills in their season finale.

Raegen Wells, Fort Calhoun volleyball: The senior finished her prep career as her team’s leader in kills this fall. The four-year contributor was near the top of her Pioneers’ stat sheet in service aces and digs, too. Special mention goes to Wells’ teammate, Emilee Thayer-Mencke. The freshman had a team-best 11 kills against Douglas County West in FCHS’ season finale.

Congrats to these standouts, and thank you for checking out all of my work this fall season. I’ve run myself ragged with everything going on, but it’s been an enjoyable time.
