One week before the start of their own preseason practices, new Arlington High School basketball coaches Tashia Wolf and Jake Polk hosted 105 campers for K-3 Basketball League sessions.
The three days of instruction started Nov. 6 with boys and girls taking part after school from 3:45 to 5 p.m. The youngsters received direction from both AHS coaching staffs, but also from the high school Eagles themselves.
On Wednesday, the young ballplayers worked on passing, shooting and ballhandling in two Arlington gyms. They also received their K-3 T-shirts and posed for photos to commemorate the annual get-togethers.
Wolf and Polk's high school teams, however, are hard at work in the gyms this week preparing for the 2023-2024 basketball season. NSAA rules allowed for official practices to begin Monday.
The Eagles' home exhibition matchups with Blair are Nov. 20. The girls' Jamboree game starts at 5:30 p.m. before the boys at, approximately, 7.
