VILLAGE OF ARLINGTON BOARD OF TRUSTEES HEARING TO SET FINAL TAX REQUEST September 19, 2022 The Hearing to Set the Final Tax Request of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Arlington, Nebraska, was held at the Arlington Village Hall, 245 N 2nd Street, Arlington on September 19, 2022. Board Chairman, Paul Krause, called the hearing to order at 6:39 p.m. Roll call was taken as follows: Jason Wiese, present; Travis Kraemer, Present; Scott Pokorny, Present; Paul Krause, present. Notice of the hearing was given in advance by publication in the Arlington Citizen, a designated method for giving notice as shown by the Affidavit of Publication attached to these minutes. Notice of the meeting was given in advance by publication on the Village of Arlington Website and was posted at the Village Hall, Post Office and Bank. Notice of this hearing was given to the Village Board members and a copy of their acknowledgment of receipt of notice and the agenda is attached to the minutes. Availability of the agenda was communicated in the advance notice and in the notice to the Board of Trustees of this hearing. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened hearing was open to the attendance of the public. Chairman Krause noted the posting of the Open Meetings Act as posted on the wall by the entrance of the Conference Room. Chairman Paul Krause stated the purpose of the hearing was to set the final tax request at a different amount than the prior fiscal year. The final tax request for fiscal year 2022-2023 down from last year’s levy rate of 0.536558 to 0.532038, which includes 0.500000 for the General Fund and 0.032038 for the Bond Fund. Following discussion Chairman Krause asked if there were any questions or comments from the public. There were none. Scott Pokorny moved for adjournment from the Hearing to Set the Final Tax Request.
