STATE TRACK UPDATE: O’Daniel, Arp combine for 3 more AHS medals

Eagles finish 14th in girls' Class C standings

After Dallin Franzluebbers secured a fifth-place finish Friday, Arlington Eagles Hailey O’Daniel and Hayley Arp combined for three more medals Saturday during the fourth and final day of the NSAA State Track and Field Championships at Omaha Burke Stadium.
O’Daniel was second in both the 800- and 1,600-meter runs. She finished the two-lap race in 2:17.75 and the four-lap event in 5:17.09.
Arp, meanwhile, ended her second-straight state meet with a medal. The sophomore was fifth in the shot put with her best attempt traveling 38 feet, 2.25 inches.
Kolby Tighe, Corinne May, Kelise Krivohlavek and Whitney Wollberg also competed Saturday. Tighe was 16th in the 1,600 run, while May finished the same race on the girls’ side in 18th.
May, Krivohlavek and Wollberg joined O’Daniel in the 1,600 relay, too, taking 15th.
The Eagles were 14th in the girls’ team standings and 36th in the boys’ at the end of the evening’s events.
