With a goal to raise $3,000, the Friends of the Arlington Library are hosting the second Booktoberfest from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the Arlington Auditorium.
Booktoberfest is a beer tasting experience. Patrons will be able to taste different beers at different tables set up throughout the auditorium.
The funds raised will help with adding a window seat and technology advancements. A polka band will be the newest addition to the event.
“Technology is constantly changing so it would be nice to have better options for the public. We also realized we do not have good signage for our new digital card catalog,” Erin Anzalone said. “Having information and a computer for people to access that themselves gives a lot more freedom. Deb Wesch loves to help people find books but people would enjoy utilizing our newer tools.”
