After a 1-1 start last Saturday, the Arlington Senior Legion baseball closed out the Wakefield/Wayne Wood Bat Tourney on Sunday with an 11-0 victory.
The Eagles had to play just five innings with pitcher Dustin Kirk earning the complete game no-hitter. He struck out eight, while Josh Miller hit 2-for-3 with five RBIs.
A day later, the Post 71 Legion baseball teams' travels continued with a Junior-Senior doubleheader at West Point.
Braden Rump led the Eagles in Monday's Seniors game, throwing a 1-0, complete-game shutout. The pitcher struck out 11 and allowed just three hits.
Tanner Pittman and Aiden Foreman notched just enough offense to get Arlington over the top, too. Pittman was 2-for-3 with a double, scoring on a knock by Foreman.
The win pushed the Seniors' record to 7-5 this season.
The Arlington Juniors, meanwhile, beat West Point 11-3. Tyler Ott and Nick Smith pitched three innings apiece, while Trevor Denker went 3-for-4 with a double. Kaden Pittman was 2-for-4.
The Eagles next play 5:30 p.m. Monday in Tekamah. The Senior Legion game follows the completion of the Junior contest.
