NSAA, NCPA announces academic all-staters

AHS, BHS and FCHS athletes recognized

Student athletes from Arlington, Blair and Fort Calhoun were among those recently recognized with the release of the winter season's Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association (NCPA) Academic All-State Awards.
Schools nominated all recognized students for individual academic excellence, leadership, and significant contributions in their NSAA activity, according to an NSAA release.
Arlington basketball players Owen Ladehoff, Schuyler Logemann, Libby Hegemann and Hailey O'Daniel were all recognized as were wrestlers Zane Gerrish, Tate Johannes, Evelyn Bottger and Callee Shearer.
In Blair, wrestlers Hudson Loges, Mac Tupa, Emma Belnog and Jo Inget were honored. So, too, were basketball players Alex Just, Cooper Sorensen, Hayden Frink-Mathis and Kate Wulf.
The NCPA also recognized BHS speech students Diane Mitchell and Avalon Morgan.
Eight award winners came from Fort Calhoun as well. FCHS basketball players Adam Elofson, Chase Premer, Kaylee Taylor and Samantha Thomas were recognized as were wrestlers Levi Lasher, Alex Schuler, Madi Larrick and Annaleigh McLaughlin.

Teams earn NCA awards
In addition to individual academic awards, the Nebraska Coaches Association recently recognized its Currency Team Academic Excellence Award recipients for the winter season.
The Arlington boys and girls basketball, Arlington boys wrestling, Blair girls basketball, Blair boys wrestling and Fort Calhoun girls wrestling teams were all honored after producing 3.30 team cumulative GPA for the fall 2024 semester or third semester.
