The Arlington High School volleyball team fell to 1-22 Thursday night with a 3-0 home loss.
The visiting Class C1 No. 8 Douglas County West Falcons swept the Eagles to improve to 20-2. They won the first set 25-8, the second 25-15 and the third 25-5.
The loss was AHS' first to DC West this fall, but also its fourth to a team ranked in the most recent Omaha World-Herald top-10 polls. The other defeats came to Class C2 No. 2 Fremont Bergan on Sept. 6, Class D1 No. 6 Hartington Cedar Catholic on Sept. 17 and Class B No. 6 Seward on Oct. 1.
The Eagles were scheduled to compete in a Nebraska Capitol Conference Tournament match against Fort Calhoun on Monday. The tourney continues through Saturday's championship match.
