Jolynn Sue (Crawford Hasenauer) Reed, 68, of Arlington, passed away on Aug. 11, 2021, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha peacefully with her children by her side.

She was born on July 3, 1953, in Gothenburg to Wilber “Pete” Crawford and RoJean (Johnson Crawford) Gutherless.

Jolynn graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1972. She married Charles Hasenauer on Feb. 10, 1973, in Gothenburg, on Feb. 10, 1973. To this union 4 children were born. They raised their children in North Platte, Maxwell and Hershey. After their divorce, Jolynn moved to Fremont in 1990. She married Wayne Reed in Jan. 1991 and they settled in Arlington. They divorced but Jolynn continued to live in Arlington until she was unable to care for herself, at that time she moved into Nye Point in Fremont where she remained until her death.

Jolynn worked many waitressing and cooking jobs over the years where she got to do the two things she loved, cook and talk to people. She never knew a stranger, everyone was a friend. From 1997 to 2003 she got to live her dream of owning the Rooftop Restaurant in Arlington. She loved everything about her little place, people would come from everywhere for her prime rib, chicken fried steak, and broasted chicken.

She lived everyday of her life for her children and grandchildren. Besides her four children and 14 grandchildren, she also had many others she considered her kids and grandkids. She was always cooking and baking to feed everyone, no one ever went hungry around her. She always made a point to make people laugh.

Jolynn is survived by her son, Jeff (Cheryl) Hasenauer and children, Kylea, Skylar, and Aiden; daughter, Tonyia (Michael) Miller of North Platte, and children, Sydnee, Isaiah, Caleb and Hayden; daughter, Merrit (Tommy) Gilmore and children, Hunter, Kolton, and Remington; son, Brandon (Sara) Hasenauer, and children, Mason, Holly, Nolan, and Chase; and many more friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her father Wiber “Pete” Crawford; step-father, Earl Gutherless; brother, Steve Crawford and many other friends and family.

Memorial Service was 10:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at the Arlington Community Church in Arlington. Visitation was Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Burial will be at the Arlington Cemetery.
