JH basketball team ends busy week with wins

Eagles go 8-2 in 8 days

The Arlington junior high girls basketball team kept busy Feb. 22 through last Saturday, playing 10 total games.
“We had a week full of basketball and lots of opportunities to grow,” Eagles coach Tashia Wolf said.
The “A” team capped the busy week Saturday during the its home tournament, going 2-0. Arlington topped BRLD 49-15 and Logan View 53-20 to do it.
The “A” squad went 3-0 Feb. 22, Feb. 23 and Feb. 25, too. It beat Fremont Bergan first, 40-4, before topping Ashland-Greenwood 40-31. The Eagles then topped Wahoo 42-14 heading into the weekend tourney.
Wolff's “B” team was successful as well, besting Ashland-Greenwood (21-8) and Wahoo (35-14), while also teaming up with the “C” lineup to best Bergan 27-18.
Lastly, the Eagles' “C” squad lost tight games to Ashland (16-14) and Wahoo (10-4).
Overall, Arlington went 8-2 for the week before playing its final two games of the season Monday and Tuesday.
