One person was injured following an accident on U.S. Highway 30 Wednesday afternoon.

Kennard and Arlington fire and rescue departments and the Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident around 2 p.m.

Sgt. Shane Thallas said a woman driving a black SUV was traveling eastbound, but had slowed her speed down upon seeing state workers patching the roads.

At one point, the SUV clipped the back of one of the state trucks with an employee inside. The employee was evaluated and had non-life-threatening injuries. The SUV-driver did not have any obvious signs of injury.

The investigation is still pending.
