BHS' Chaffee shoots triangular low

The Blair High School golf team played its last nine holes before Monday's district tournament May 10.
The Bears finished third out of three teams at Tiburon Golf Club, totaling 183 strokes. Gretna took 173 swings and Wahoo had 180.
Blair senior Easton Chaffee, however, shot the individual low score. He shot a 2-over par 38, carding four birdies across nine holes.
Chaffee's teammate, Aaron Hinman, took 43 swings and Connor Wayman had 44. Landen Oppliger and Jackson Schroeder finished with 58 and 60 strokes, respectively.
Keenan Wyman led BHS' junior varsity lineup, finishing with a nine-hole 51. Rylan Blattert took 56 swings, Asa Harvey shot a 57 and Markus Popa carded a 59. Justin Bird finished with 70 strokes, too.
The Bears were set to host the Class B District 2 Tournament on Monday at River Wilds Golf Club. An online update will be posted to enterprisepub.com/sports tonight, detailing all district tourney results for Washington County schools.

Miller, Hamre lead FCHS, AHS
Jayden Miller and Josh Hamre shot their Fort Calhoun and Arlington golf teams' low scores Thursday during an 18-hole tournament at Northridge Country Club in Tekamah.
It was both teams' regular season finale.
Miller finished with 95 strokes for the Pioneers, while Hamre carded 96 for the Eagles. Both coaches, FCHS' Dustin Humphrey and AHS' Landon Walkenhorst, said their teams struggled overall, though. Calhoun finished with 394 swings overall and Arlington had 422.
In addition to Miller's 95, Dylan Boldt shot a 96 for the Pioneers. Owen Miller finished with 100 strokes, while Vincent Bonacci and Beau Ruma carded 103 and 126, respectively.
Eddie Rosenthal shot the Eagles' second-best score in Tekamah. He took 99 swings, while Jacob Meehan had 111 and Cade Podany took 117. Stokely Lewis shot a 118 for AHS, too.
Both Washington County schools are scheduled to play 18 holes today during the Class C District 2 Touranment at Oakland Golf Club. David City Aquinas, Fremont Bergan, Cedar Bluffs, Clarkson/Leigh, David City, West Point GACC, Logan View, Madison, North Bend Central, Oakland-Craig, Tekamah-Herman, West Point-Beemer, Wisner-Pilger and Yutan are set to be in attendance, too.
