The Blair High School boys golf team played 27 holes across two days to start its week.
On Tuesday, coach Ross Udey's Bears played 18 during the Waverly Invite at Crooked Creek Golf Club in Lincoln. They accumulated 372 strokes as a team with Jack Schroeder leading the way.
“Jack, best round of his career,” Udey said.
The senior finished with just 81 strokes, finishing with just 37 on the front nine holes.
Rylan Olsen, meanwhile, shot a career best across 18 holes. He finished with 92 strokes, while Degan Dresden added 97. Justin Bird added 102 swings, too, and Aaron Hinman had 111.
Before Tuesday's tournament, the Bears played nine holes at home Monday. They finished fourth in the quadrangular with first-place Bennington, Elkhorn and Fremont with 183 strokes.
Nolan Wolfe, notably, shot the BHS low, finishing with 43 strokes on a warm afternoon at River Wilds Golf Club. Schroeder had 44 swings for the day and Hinman carded 46.
Bird notched 50 strokes for the Bears, while Dresden finished with 52.
Blair junior varsity golfers Jacob Hanson, Olsen, Tyson Leehy, Truman Stanley and Landon Holtz also played nine during the quad. Hanson and Leehy shot 48s, while Olsen finished with 49 swings.
Stanley and Holtz had 60 and 76, too, respectively.
The Bears next compete 9 a.m. Monday during the Class B District 2 Tournament at York Country Club. The postseason event comes after their last regular season triangular, which was Thursday at Wahoo Hilltop Country Club.
Eagles play 9 holes in Fremont
Winston Slykhuis took a team-low 48 swings Monday as Arlington took part in a Fremont Bergan triangular at Fremont Golf Club.
The Eagle led his team's 220-stroke effort, while Jack Rosenbalm carded 50 across nine holes. Schuyler Logemann finished with 59 swings, too, while Trenton Hansen had 63 and Hunter Wallace 71 in the varsity lineup.
AHS' Calvin Flesner and Nathan Erwin added strokes in junior varsity play, too. Flesner shot a nine-hole 56, while Erwin finished with 67 swings.
The Eagles were scheduled to play Thursday at Northridge Country Club and next compete 9 a.m. Monday during the Class C District 2 Tournament at Indian Trails Country Club in Beemer.
