Friday Football Update: Bears and Pioneers win, Eagles fall

BHS beats Omaha Westview, 49-13

The Blair and Fort Calhoun football teams picked up wins Friday night, while the Arlington Eagles fell on the road.
The Bears (5-3 overall) beat Omaha Westview 49-13 at Omaha Burke Stadium. Ethan Baessler, Brock Templar (three), Ben Holcomb and Dane Larsen (two) all scored touchdowns in the first half.
BHS next faces Elkhorn North in its regular season, home finale. The game is 7 p.m. Oct. 21.
Fort Calhoun (3-5), meanwhile, toppled Omaha Concordia on Friday, 48-7, snapping a four-game losing skid. Levi Lasher scored the Pioneers’ first touchdown on a blocked punt return before Avery Quinlan (two), Grayson Bouwman and Blake Welchert (two) reached the end zone, too.
FCHS next hosts Boys Town at 7 p.m. Oct. 21.
Columbus Lakeview hosted Arlington (0-8) on Friday and won, 56-13. Eagles Kaden Pittman and Jacob Beans scored touchdowns in defeat.
AHS plays its season finale at home, too. The 7 p.m. Oct. 21 game is against Douglas County West.
