The Fremont High School girls swim team was fifth and the boys sixth Friday and Saturday during the Heartland Athletic Conference meet in their home pool.
The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks swept both team titles as 12 schools competed.
Arlington and Blair swimmers, and their Tiger teammates, were unable to capture an event win during the event, but many qualified for Saturday's finals after Friday's prelims.
Blair freshman Ryleigh Schroeter and Arlington's Lizzie Meyer were both members of the FHS 200-yard freestyle relay squad that set a school record during Friday's prelims. The Tigers, including Karsen Jesse and Lucy Dillon, were second behind Lincoln East in 1:39.31.
Schroeter and Meyer also teamed with Grace Blick and Blair freshman Jane Busboom in the 200 medley relay, qualifying second for the finals in 1:51.96.
Schroeter added individual qualifications in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke, while Meyer made the 50 freestyle finals with a time of 25.23 seconds.
On the boys' side, Arlington student-athlete Cade Arnett qualified for the conference finals in two relay events alongside Landon Lamson, Connor Christ and John Monson. The team was third in the 200-yard medley relay and fourth in 200 freestyle relay prelims.
In addition, Arlington freshman Dathan Hansen's top conference finish came in the 100-yard breaststroke prelims. He was 28th in 1:21.55.
