Coach Jason Wiese and his two Arlington High School golfers hosted Blair and Elkhorn North on Thursday for a nine-hole triangular at Fremont Golf Club.
Kaylie Erwin led the host Eagles in eighth place, while the Bears' Anna Moore was fifth. The top-four spots, however, belonged to Wolves led by Emily Karmazin, who took just 38 strokes.
Moore, meanwhile, took 53 swings. BHS' Mallory Stirek added a 57 for seventh-place and Emma Wilson carded a 64.
The Bears' Carrie Truhlsen and Mackenzie Storjohann took 66 and 69 strokes, respectively.
Erwin's 60 was an 11-swing improvement the last time the AHS senior played Fremont Golf Club's front nine competitively, Wiese said. Sarah Rhea added 76 strokes for the Eagles, too.
“We will continue to work on our short game from 100 yards and in to prepare for Tuesday,” Wiese added, noting today's home invitational. “I really like how we are putting now as we had many two-putts or less today.”
Arlington's tournament starts at 9 a.m.
