Eight Arlington Eagles earned NSAA State Track and Field Championship qualifications Thursday during the Class C District 2 Meet at Oakland City Park.
Coach Kyle Buckingham’s girls finished third in the team standings, while the boys were sixth out of 10 teams. Of AHS’ qualifiers, six were apart of event wins at districts.
Hailey O’Daniel earned three gold medals, while Whitney Wollberg claimed two. Hayley Arp, Kelise Krivohlavek, Corinne May and Dallin Franzluebbers secured one apiece, too.
Eagles Rylie Kyllo and Kolby Tighe, however, earned state spots with second place individual finishes.
All eight AHS standouts next compete 9 a.m. May 23 during the first of two days of Class C state competition at Omaha Burke Stadium.
Every Arlington, Blair and Fort Calhoun state qualifier is listed below. The Bears and Pioneers’ Class B state competition starts at 9 a.m. on both May 21 and May 22 at Burke Stadium.
