Class B postseason baseball began Friday with the Blair Bears advancing into the District 1 Touranment semifinals.
BHS topped Arlington during the first round in Waverly, 9-4. The Bears (8-9 overall) now play top-seeded Norris on Saturday at 10 a.m. The game will be contested at Lawson Park.
Blair's Shea Wendt highlighted his team's victory, hitting a two-run homer during a six-run sixth inning. Dylan Swanson earned the pitching win, too.
Arlington led the Bears 4-2 through five innings with Dalton Newcomer breaking a 2-2 tie with an RBI single. The Eagles close the spring season 9-13.
Fort Calhoun, meanwhile, finished its season 5-15 on Friday. The Pioneers lost a 8-1 District 4 Tournament game to Wahoo/Neumann/Lincoln Lutheran at Elkhorn North despite Sam Halford's third-inning RBI.
