The Fremont High School swimming team returned to competition Thursday at a Lincoln North Star triangular.
The Tigers — including their student-athletes from Arlington and Blair — won duals against Lincoln Pius X and the Gators on the girls' side, while going 1-1 in boys competition.
FHS' girls team bested the Thunderbolts 92-70 and North Star 112-41, according to a Lincoln Journal Star report. Blair's Jane Busboom and Ryleigh Schroeter, and Arlington's Lizzie Meyer, all took part in event wins.
Meyer was a member of both the victorious 200-yard medley and 400 freestyle relay teams, while Schroeter joined her on the 400 team and won the 200 freestyle relay with Busboom and two more Tigers. Busboom, a BHS freshman, was also first in the individual 200-yard freestyle, completing her swim in 2:12.31.
The Fremont boys, meanwhile, bested the host Gators 86-51, but lost to Pius X 95.5-62.5.
