Beverly Jo Brase, age 76, passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, in David City, NE. Born on May 14, 1948, to Naomi (Gil) Garner and Mark Baker.
Beverly spent her formative years in Blair, NE, graduating from Blair High School.
Throughout her life, Beverly was dedicated to her work, serving her community in various roles including a waitress, a deli worker, a dietary clerk at the Columbus Community Hospital, and as an independent housekeeper. Despite the demands of her career, she always found time to indulge in her hobbies, which included playing the slot machines at casinos and antique shopping with her sister.
Beverly’s greatest joys were her family and listening to Elvis.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Doug) Scott and Laurie (Al) Imhof; step-daughter, Donette (Gene) Vis; sister, Cheryl (Derald) Erickson; brother, Randy (Sue) Baker; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Brase; her parents; brothers, Gary, Bob, and Lewis Baker; nephew, Kenny Erickson; and great-grandson, Beau Stout.
In accordance with her wishes, Beverly requested no visitation or memorial service. Her life was marked by her love for her family, her work ethic, and her ability to bring joy to those around her through simple pleasures. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
