The Arlington High School girls won track and field gold Tuesday at West Point-Beemer.
The Eagles finished atop the team standings, capping the win with a 1,600-meter relay victory just before the boys' event was canceled by incoming weather. The AHS girls and boys claimed more running and field event wins before that, though.
Junior Keelianne Green set records in both the long jump and triple jump to start the afternoon competition. She cleared 18 feet, 3 inches in the long before a 36-10 effort in the triple.
The standout Eagle — last fall's Class C cross-country champion — also won the 800 run.
Senior Kailynn Gubbels, meanwhile, was victorious in the 100-meter hurdles.
On the boys' side, Arlington's Colby Grefe won the 800, too. His middle-distance teammates — Nolan May, Dallin Franzluebbers, Luke Hammang and Kevin Flesner — won the 3,200 relay as well.
The Eagles next compete on the track Monday in North Bend. The outdoor meet begins at 1 p.m.
