The first Arlington boys golf dual since 2019 came with less than ideal weather conditions Wednesday afternoon.
“It was a tough showing with the cold and wind,” Eagles coach Scott Parson said. “But we were glad to be playing and setting a starting mark.”
AHS fell to its host, Omaha Concordia, by 17 strokes at Stone Creek Golf Course. Its “A” lineup took 213 swings, while the “B” squad carded 254.
Jayden Thompson led the Eagles with a team-low 50 over nine holes. His effort was good for fifth overall with 12 golfers taking part in Wednesday's dual.
Jacob Meehan, meanwhile, took 51 strokes and Josh Iossi carded 53. Eddie Rosenthal finished with a 54, Josh Hamre a 56 and Austin Smutz a 57.
Arlington's Andy Misfeldt (58), Ken Eppenbaugh (69) and Jacob Strom (76) rounded out the Eagles' effort at Stone Creek.
Concordia's Zach Handke and Elliott Wilson led the field with 46 swings apiece.
AHS next competes 9 a.m. Wednesday during the Douglas County West Invitational at The Pines Country Club in Valley.
