Cruising right along this spring, it’s time for some more Nannen Physical Therapy Athletes of the Week.
The latest are Chase Premer, Colin McCabe and Winston Slykhuis.
Chase Premer, Fort Calhoun baseball: It’s hard to beat the week the Pioneers’ catcher had. He was 7-for-10 at the plate with seven RBIs, three doubles and a triple. Special mention goes to Premer’s teammate, Alex Christensen, who also put up good numbers for Class C No. 5 FCHS this past week.
Colin McCabe, Blair track and field: The BHS sprinter won the 400-meter dash and took second in the 200 at Schuyler. He also contributed to first- and fourth-place relay finishes. Special mention goes to his brother Declan, who won the 1,600 run, and the baseball team’s Nathan Murray, who plated the game-winning run Saturday against Platte Valley
Winston Slykhuis, Arlington golf: With Blair and Fort Calhoun also playing River Wilds Golf Club on Tuesday, this Eagle shot Washington County’s low score during the River Wilds Golf Invitational. He carded 90 strokes, following up a week where he shot in the 80s at Ashland. Special mention goes to the track and field team’s Whitney Wollberg, who won two events at Platteview.
Thanks for reading. See you out there this week.
