The group purchased a steer during the Washington County Fair's Large Animal Auction. Representing the Animal Auction committee was Lana Valasek, Rob Vogt, Luke Lauritsen and Buck Hoier. Also pictured are Shylyn Hansen, Gadreal Zeleny and Caden Boell of Oakland Meat Processing, which generously donated the processing of this animal. More than 400 lbs. of ground beef left Oakland headed to Blair to be distributed to residents of Washington County through the food pantry program.
